Auchendean
Pitch & Putt
The view from the 5th tee..

Without doubt, one of the trickiest courses around, Auchendean's Pitch and Putt meanders through the garden, which has now become fairly mature, so lost balls are not uncommon. It was laid out in 1989, as the garden was being planted, and designed by Ian to take players around the whole 1.5 acre garden. There are many hidden corners, always with the famous Auchendean view of Strathspey and The Cairngorms, or the Abernethy Forest, and River Spey or The Cromdale Hills.

When you are playing, Bess will want to pick up the ball, wherever it falls, and bring it back to you - (so a chance to take a poor shot again) - and one of the three cats may just chase the ball as you are putting, and pat it on with a helping paw!!

Local Rules:
1. Garden; Drive; Path; Out of Bounds. - Lift & Drop. Penalty One.
2. Ball near Shrubs. - Free Drop.
3. Outside Fences; Out of Bounds. Lift & Drop Inside. Penalty One.

The Auchendean Pitch and Putt card, as designed by a friend and artist, Peter Pelz. He tried to capture the essence of the course, hence chickens, cats and dogs, walls, trees, shrubbery and the water course to the pond. Not to mention the driveway and hotel buildings!
All this, and it's FREE! Well, to guests, anyhow. We also invite friends to play in the annual "Mid Summers Night" Golf Match, which starts at 9pm on the 21st June each year.
