Lochindorb Castle is on an island in the middle of the loch. Here we also see Lochindorb House, in the sheltering trees. This can be a bleak and lonely loch, situated on the high Dava Moor to the north of Grantown on Spey.
The castle was the base of 'The Wolf of Badenoch' who was responsible for the sacking of Elgin Catherdral amongst other things.
