I only find 3 or 4 of these giants in a year. This one weighed a sensational 6.5 lbs!
This fungus has two great benefits - it dries and reconstitutes well, (saving deep freeze space!) and because it has an open, thin, crisp and twisty flesh, it is superb marinated and grilled with lamb or kid as a kebab.
