2003/2004
- The Twinflower was declared the "County Flower"
for Inverness-shire
-in a ballot carried out by the charity "Plantlife".
Here
are some pictures of the Twinflower in Curr Wood, behind
Auchendean, where 90% of Britain's Twinflowers grow.
Following the wonderful summer last year, the 2004 flowering
was better than we have ever seen, and being members
of the honeysuckle family, the scent on a still day
was wonderful! |
