The cool, clear, peaty waters of the Spey, famous for 'Spey Casting' for Salmon and Sea Trout.
This is the high summer scene from the old wooden Victorian bridge at Broomhill. The nearby Broomhill Station will soon be the terminus for the Strathspey Railway bringing steam trains from Aviemore.
Already it's famous under another name - Glenbogle - from the BBC's 'Monarch of the Glen' series.
The sand banks are much used each year by sand martins.
