We are blessed with arts and events of all types in this area. Crafts and Crafts People and Arts in the Highlands both deal with all types of art in the Highlands of Scotland. Nearer to home, the Nethy Bridge web site is a good source of information.

Annual Events in local Villages

Nethy Bridge (1 mile) puts on a Ceilidh each February and three more in the summer for locals as well as tourists. There will be singing, dancing, bagpipes and more.

Grantown on Spey (3 miles) kicks off the season for events with Strathspey in May - a musical extravaganza.

Boat of Garten (3 miles) has a music society - TOMS (The Osprey Music Society) where top class performers come about once a month.

Carrbridge (9 miles) has it's own Arts Festival

Smarty Art is a ceramic painting studio in Grantown on Spey. Have a coffee too!

Local Groups and Exhibition Spaces

Creative Cairngorms - local artists inspired by the Cairngorms National Park

There are exhibition spaces close to hand - Speyside Heather Centre exhibits for Creative Cairngorms and there is a gallery at Craggan Mill 1 mile to the north of us.

Theatres and Cinemas

The nearest theatre is in Inverness - Eden Court - 40 minutes
and we go to Inverness for cinema too.
but we are also in reach of Pitlochry Theatre - 1 hour
