Check-out is up to 1100 but again other times are usually acceptable if you arrange it with us.

Evening Food

We closed our restaurant some years ago but we can recommend several cafes & restaurants around here and details are in the room folder as well as on our restaurants page.
We do recommend that you book as early as possible to ensure that you get to eat in the restaurant of your choice.

If you want to bring food back to Auchendean to eat, don’t hesitate to ask for plates and cutlery. We would prefer that you eat in the Guests Lounge/Breakfast Room rather than your bedroom.

Breakfast

Lounge & Breakfast Room

Lounge & Breakfast Room

Start with our home-mixed Muesli or with Porridge which is made the traditional way with pinhead oatmeal steeped in the aga overnight. For this reason we ask that you pre-warn us the night before if you want porridge.
Please note that the muesli contains peanuts.

Help yourself to fruit and home-made yoghurt etc as displayed.

Maybe enjoy a healthy kipper caught off the Moray Firth and smoked the time-honoured way nearby.

You may prefer a pork sausage made by our butcher in Nethy Bridge with thick cut smoked back bacon? He also makes his own Black Pudding.
Add in a tomato, some mushrooms (in season these may be wild fungi – a speciality of the house)
Our eggs come from a local source. Have them fried, scrambled or poached or simply boiled.

Bread is home-made where possible, light wholemeal full of seeds. Toasted, it comes with local honey, jam (usually made from our own fruit) and home-made marmalade.

Special diets. Please get in touch with us if you have special dietary requirements but remember that we are a long way from specialist shops. If you need anything in particular it might be safer to bring a supply with you.
Our muesli contains peanuts and our bread often contains Sesame seeds.
